DWC 2026 World Finals marked another hugely successful chapter in Dance World Cup’s history, with a record 11,500 young dancers from over 60 countries taking part.
Following more than 50 qualifying events held worldwide between November 2025 and April 2026, dancers from over 3,000 dance schools came together in Dublin from 8 to 18 July to proudly represent their countries and perform on the World Finals stage. With a highly respected international judging panel spanning all genres, dancers showcased their talent at the highest level, while masterclasses and educational programmes led by industry professionals offered inspiration, learning and opportunities to develop beyond the competition.
Our host city, Dublin, provided a vibrant setting for the World Finals, with the warm Irish welcome and outstanding hospitality adding to the atmosphere throughout the event. Behind the scenes, many months of planning and the dedication of our international event coordination team, country organisers, technical crews, volunteers and valued sponsors came together to deliver another fantastic 11-day World Finals and showcase the greatest youth dance competition in the world.
The 2026 Finals featured some memorable highlights beyond the competition. The DWC Contemporary Ballet Company, in association with world-renowned choreographer Richard Wherlock and his incredible creative team, presented a spectacular 90-minute production at the Helix Theatre, bringing together 27 dancers from 14 nationalities after three weeks of rehearsals. Our ever-popular Showstoppers programme, produced with award-winning West End choreographer Bill Deamer, also gave auditioned dancers the chance to learn, gain valuable theatrical experience and perform in a world stage setting, with stunning performances, creative flair and costumes as unforgettable as the performances themselves.
The Opening Ceremony and DJ Party at Dublin’s iconic 3Arena was one of the standout moments of the World Finals, bringing thousands of dancers together for an unforgettable night of music, celebration and fun. Dancers proudly represented their nations in vibrant national costumes, with colourful country flags, incredible team spirit and non-stop energy filling the arena as everyone danced the night away. With an electric atmosphere from start to finish, it was a spectacular celebration of everyone coming together as part of the Dance World Cup family.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make Dublin 2026 such a success: our dedicated staff and helpers, CCD operational personnel, technical and media teams, country organisers, judges, masterclass guest teachers, Dublin dignitaries, valued sponsorship partners, and all the many establishments across Dublin who welcomed Dance World Cup.
But above all, thank you to every dancer, teacher and family who travelled to Dublin and, as always, made these World Finals so special. Your passion, talent, dedication and energy are at the heart of Dance World Cup. The World Finals are about so much more than competition. They are about friendship, inspiration, learning, shared experiences and memories that last a lifetime.
And, as always, they remind us of what Dance World Cup is all about: Friendship through the Language of Dance.
