Jess started her career as a performer in numerous West End shows but now is renowned as a Choreographer, Associate Choreographer and Director for Theatre productions and touring companies. She is also renowned for her work with BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing. Jess is currently engaged as Associate Director and created the Musical Staging for the exciting show Barnum which is touring theatres around the UK from February until the end of 2026.
Her work with Strictly has resulted in collaborations with the professional dancers of this popular dance show. Jess has acted as choreographer for touring theatre shows highlighting these artists, shows like Johannes Radebe’s House of Jojo and Freedom Unleashed, and Anton and Giovanni Together Again.
Another area of Jess’s work is in the productions of regional pantomimes and seasonal family shows, but she also helps the professional students of Musical Theatre colleges, like Chichester University, to produce their presentations, firstly with the audition process, then the choreography and preparation for performance.
Her practical depth of knowledge of the dance industry, both theatre and screen, as well as the MT repertoire and vocational pathways, will make Jess a valued member of the DWC judging panel.
