2026 World Finals Judge
Jo Morris
Jo trained at Millennium Performing Arts on the Doris Sonne Scholarship before completing a Master of Arts degree in Arts and Creative Industries at Middlesex University.
Jo is an accomplished choreographer and performer, working extensively across the UK and internationally. She began her career as a performer, with West End credits including Wicked, Sinatra, Mary Poppins, and Fame. She later transitioned into the role of Dance Captain for On the Town and Shoes (Sadler’s Wells).
Building on her performance experience, Jo developed a successful career as a choreographer, assisting with and restaging many popular musical theatre revivals. These include Guys & Dolls, Chess, Top Hat, 42nd Street (Paris), Thoroughly Modern Millie, Sunset Boulevard, Mack & Mabel, The Pajama Game, Kiss Me, Kate, Crazy for You, Me and My Girl, Sweet Charity, The Music Man, and Oklahoma!.
Her choreography credits include serving as UK and Broadway Associate Choreographer for Stephen Sondheim’s Old Friends (Samuel J. Friedman Theater on Broadway, Ahmanson Theater Los Angeles, Gielgud Theatre, and Sondheim Theatre in the West End); Hello, Dolly! (Lido 2 Paris); and Revival Choreographer for Singin’ in the Rain (Grand Palais, Paris).
Jo has also been part of the creative team for developmental workshops including The Witches (National Theatre), Shoes (Sadler’s Wells), and the Broadway productions of The Little Mermaid and Mary Poppins.
In addition, Jo has appeared in music videos and advertisements, and has created choreography for a variety of popular television entertainment shows.
She is also passionate about directing and choreographing student productions, having worked with institutions such as Bird Conservatoire, Laine Theatre Arts, Guildford School of Acting, Millennium Performing Arts, Stagebox, and London Studio Centre.
Jo joined the Dance World Cup panel of international adjudicators for the 2025 Finals in Burgos and served as assistant to Stephen Mear for the DWC Showstoppers.
