Jocelyn is a dance educator, choreographer, and dancer. She graduated from the Hong Kong Academy For Performing Arts with an Advanced Diploma and continued at London Contemporary Dance School for the Dance BA (Hons) degree. She had been awarded multiple academic honours, and scholarship bursaries that facilitated studies in the U.S.A and United Kingdom.
Jocelyn is one of the founders of Lantern Dance Company in London. With this group, she has held different dance style workshops and performances in UK. By using the foundations of Chinese dance technique, combined with contemporary dance, the company seeks to break through the limits of different dance forms. Through these dance workshops, Jocelyn travelled widely in the UK, working not just with dance academies but also with special needs schools and organisations, to promote dance as a spiritual healing art form. Jocelyn is also interested in other art forms, such as Martial Arts, collaborating with specialists in this field, Drama, and Diversity Theatre. She has also worked in many educational establishments teaching Jazz, Contemporary, Street Jazz, Contemporary and Ballet across the Hong Kong Territories and Japan, including her alma mater, Hong Kong Academy For Performing Arts.
As a performer, Jocelyn had chances to perform in the state events of the UK government, such as the Queen’s Jubilees. Jocelyn has also worked in the commercial art field, working with artists such as Leslie Cheung Kwok Wing, Jacky Cheung Hok Yau, Edison Chen Kwun Hei, Twin, and Fiona Sie.
