Adam Scown
Adam started his prolific triple threat international career in Australia, as a graduate of the Brent Street School of Performing Art in Australia. With a broad skillset, he went on to star in or choreograph and direct, in Australian musical theatre stage productions, commercial, music or global social events like the Atlanta Olympic closing ceremony and both ceremonies for the Sydney Olympics, and familiar television programmes like Home and Away, before moving his operating base to the West End of London.
Since arriving in Europe, Adam has continued his stellar career as an award-winning choreographer and creative: his choreographic and directorial successes include Saturday Night Fever, Grease, Shrek, Chicago, Oh What a Night, Rent, Boy from Oz, High School Musical, Dirty Dancing, Flashdance, Parade, Beauty & the Beast and Joseph & The Amazing Colour Dreamcoat, with his tap skills integrated into Happy Feet and Bootmen. He has even choreographed Die Fledermaus for the Holand Park Opera.
He has worked in the commercial area with performances and choreographic direction of the stage performances of international pop stars such as Kelly Clarkson, Little Mix, Rita Ora, Nicole Scherzinger, Christina Aguilera, Kesha, and Dua Lipa.
In recent years his accumulated knowledge and experience have been shared with many vocational students in many of the top performing arts colleges across the UK and abroad, such that, currently, Adam holds the position of Head of Dance at Performers College. Furthermore, he is part of the creative and casting team for Universal Studios and his considerable expertise results in many invitations to adjudicate competitions.
