Bill Deamer
Bill Deamer is one of Britains leading Directors and Choreographers. He is known for his style and creativity in theatre, film and TV, both in the UK and Internationally.
Notable recent theatre productions include Holiday Inn in Tokyo, 2025, Hello Dolly at The London Palladium in 2024, and 42nd Street at Sadlers Wells Theatre & the International tour 2023/24.
Other productions include The Corn Is Green at the National Theatre and The Osmonds-A New Musical (UK Tour). He devised the new tap choreography for CATS at the London Palladium and subsequent international tours, and choreographed Sondhiem on Sondhiem, the 50th Anniversary UK tour of The Sound of Music, Evita and Saturday Night Fever for the UK & European revival.
Among his award-winning choreographies is Top Hat which won The Olivier Award for Best Choreographer, The Carl Allan Award for Best Choreographer and The Broadway World Award for Best Choreographer. The acclaimed FOLLIES, directed by Dominic Cooke at The National Theatre won The Olivier Award for Best Musical Revival and another Olivier nomination for Bill too.
Bill Is also a very successful choreographer for film and television. His keen eye for the camera has served him well, most notably on So You Think You Can Dance, ITV’s All Star Musicals and BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing, where he continues to create features for the professional group routines, show dances and particularly Charlestons.
Throughout his career, Bill has also become an expert on Fred Astaire, one of his dance idols. He directed and choreographed the first ever tribute to Fred at The London Palladium and has appeared in ITV’s perspective programme For The Love of Fred Astaire.
