The 2026 Dance World Cup World Finals marked another outstanding chapter in DWC history, welcoming a record 11,500 young dancers from over 60 countries, representing more than 3,000 dance schools. Following over 50 qualifying events worldwide, dancers came together in Dublin from 8 to 18 July 2026 to compete, learn and celebrate their shared passion for dance.
With a respected panel of 40 international judges, alongside masterclasses and educational programmes led by industry professionals, the Finals offered dancers opportunities to showcase their talent, develop their skills and gain valuable experience.
Highlights included the spectacular Opening Ceremony and DJ Party at Dublin’s 3Arena, where thousands of dancers celebrated their countries and the DWC community. The DWC Contemporary Ballet Company, working with world-renowned choreographer Richard Wherlock and his creative team, presented a remarkable 90-minute production at the Helix Theatre, featuring 27 dancers from 14 nationalities following just three weeks of rehearsals.
The popular Showstoppers programme, produced with award-winning West End choreographer Bill Deamer, gave auditioned dancers the opportunity to develop their theatrical skills and perform on a world-class stage.
Our sincere thanks go to everyone who helped make Dublin 2026 such a success, including our staff, event coordination team, country organisers, judges, teachers, technical and media crews, volunteers, sponsors and our hosts in Dublin.
Above all, thank you to every dancer, teacher and family who joined us. Your talent, dedication and enthusiasm made these Finals truly special. Beyond the competition, DWC continues to celebrate friendship, inspiration, learning and memories that last a lifetime.
Dance World Cup is about so much more than competition. It’s about friendship, shared experiences and bringing the world together through the universal language of dance.
