Over 8,500 dancers from over 50 countries came together in Burgos, Spain, for the 2025 Dance World Cup World Finals, showcasing the dedication, skill, and passion of dancers and families worldwide.
The Finals took place across four remarkable stages – two at the impressive Fórum Evolución, one at the stunning and historically significant Teatro Principal, and another at Colegio Círculo. This setup allowed multiple performances to run simultaneously, while fans and families at home could livestream and cheer on their dancers every step of the way.
Special thanks to Diego González Humada, Ricardo Garcia, Francisco Jose, and their teams for delivering a seamless, world-class experience across all the venues. We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Mayoress of Burgos, Cristina Ayala Santamaría, and her team for their invaluable support, as their warm welcome and the beautiful city of Burgos gave participants and spectators a fantastic experience of its rich culture and vibrant atmosphere.
Over ten action-packed days, participants attended 160 masterclasses led by top dance professionals, including our fabulous judges and guest choreographers Jan Ravnik, Abby Lee Miller, Claudimar Neto, Radar Technique, and Dane Bates, honing their skills and sparking new creative inspiration. Audiences were thrilled as street and commercial dancers from around the world brought the stage to life with electrifying Street Battles, showcasing raw talent, innovation, and passion.
The DWC Contemporary Ballet Company, in association with renowned choreographer Richard Wherlock, brought together exceptional young dancers from 14 countries. In just two weeks of rehearsals, they performed his dynamic production Bolero to perfection, captivating audiences and giving the dancers a truly unique and unforgettable experience.
Adding to the excitement, highly acclaimed West End and Broadway director and choreographer Stephen Mear CBE, along with the dazzling Ruthie Henshall, created an exclusive piece for the DWC Grand Finals. Taken from the famous musical Guys and Dolls, it was performed by DWC dancers and launched the spectacular DWC Showstoppers, celebrating the versatility and brilliance of our performers.
Each year, the Dance World Cup reaches new heights, bringing together talent, creativity, and excitement from across the globe. DWC 2025 was no exception, so we extend our heartfelt thanks to every dancer, teacher, supporter, and sponsor whose passion and dedication made it another remarkable event that will be remembered for years to come.
