Celia Sandoya was born in Madrid, Spain, where she started studying dance. In 2014, she graduated from Conservatorio Carmen Amaya and in the same year she moved to Valencia to work at Ballet de Teatres de la Generalitat Valenciana where she remained until 2017.
Afterwards, she joined IT Dansa in Barcelona, directed by Catherine Allard, until she joined Ballet Theatre Basel in 2019.
Throughout this time, she has performed works by Richard Wherlock, Akram Khan, Ohad Naharin, Jirí Kylian, Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, Alexander Ekman, Sharon Eyal, Nacho Duato, and Edward Clug among others. Nowadays, she works as a freelance dancer and choreographic assistant.
