Invitations to the Grand Finals
Please see the tables on pages 14–17 for classes with automatic entry into the Grand Finals.
Solos
- A solo dancer can compete with one solo only per Grand Final.
- If invited, a dancer can perform any solo they have performed that week, as long as it is in the correct Grand Finals category (Classical, Street/Commercial or Theatrical).
- A dancer must confirm their participation at the Grand Finals by 9am the following day after receiving the invitation.
- If a dancer wants to perform a solo that competes on the same day as the Grand Finals, they must notify DWC immediately after prize-giving.
- Invites are NOT transferable between Classical, Street/Commercial and Theatrical Grand Finals. A dancer cannot give their invite to another dancer.
- Solos are performed in age order.
Duets
- You must perform the exact routine that was invited — no substitutions allowed.
- Dancers must confirm their participation at the Grand Finals by 9am the day after receiving their invite.
- If the selected piece competes on the same day as the Grand Final, the school must notify DWC immediately after prize-giving.
Small and Large Groups

DWC Management reserves the right to award additional Grand Final places at their discretion.
